We know that choosing the right school for our children is a really important decision. At Hugh Gaitskell Primary School, our children are inquisitive, imaginative and ambitious. We teach them to debate, compromise, and think creatively. They are confident learners and articulate speakers who stand up for equality and fairness. We nurture pupils and empower them to use their initiative, take risks, be self-sufficient and self-motivated. Our children are enthusiastic about the community they live in. Sometimes there are more children wanting a place at Hugh Gaitskell Primary School than there are school places (this is called over-subscription). When this is the case, places will be considered in order of the priorities stated in our policies (below) and any remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list.

Accepting an offer of a place
If you would like to accept the offer for your child to start at Hugh Gaitskell Primary School, please email admissions@hg-ps.org giving the name of your child, child's date of birth and stating that you wish you accept the offer.
